Parmenio Musse

PARTNER´S NAME : NORBY JARLEIDY MESTIZO
FINCA BUENA VISTA STORY

Parmenio Musse has owned his farm since 2008. However, he has been involved with the production of coffee for much longer. He comes from a coffee growing family and this motivated him to continue with the legacy. Being raised in a coffee growing environment, when he grew older he decided to start working as a picker in neighbor farms to gain enough money for him to purchase his own piece of land and become a coffee grower himself. “In this years I’ve learned many things about coffee, and even more when I started producing specialty coffee. The best experience I’ve had in coffee is learning from my neighbors and the people in my community. I’m proud that I’m now well-known as a specialty coffee grower in my community and I was recognized by Caravela by having my first star for great quality!” says Parmenio.

“My farm, Finca Buena Vista is the place where I work with my family and for my family. This farm is what keep us united as a family, it’s what I’m leaving to my children.” says Parmenio with pride. Parmenio is in charge of the agriculutral management of the trees, he does the weeding, the harvesting, and the work that requires strength. His wife, meanwhile, is responisble for the drying of the coffee and the accounting of the farm. What makes Parmenio most proud about being a coffee grower is that he is producing coffee for the world.
